We stopped in for one pint and stayed for the whole evening. The fish and chips were the best I have had on the island, the Guinness was poured properly, and the staff made us feel like regulars from the minute we walked in. Upstairs at sunset with the sea right there is something else. We came back twice more before we flew home and have already told everyone back in Dublin about it.

Proper Irish pub with a view you will not find anywhere else. Great atmosphere on quiz night and the beef stew is the real deal.

Booked the upstairs for a birthday dinner of twenty. The team sorted everything from the set menu to the cake, and the service never slipped once all night. Lovely mix of a cosy pub downstairs and a bright dining room with ocean views upstairs. Already planning the next one.

Best pint of Guinness on the island, no contest. The bar staff know their stuff and the Sunday roast is worth planning the whole weekend around.

We found The Black Sheep on our first night and ended up coming back four times in one week. The upstairs terrace at sunset is magic, the seafood chowder is rich and full of fresh fish, and the live music on Friday had the whole room singing along. The team remembered our names by the second visit and even saved us our favourite table by the window. If you are on holiday here, do yourself a favour and make this your local for the trip.

Lovely anniversary dinner upstairs. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the dessert wine pairing was a nice touch. Only small wait for our table, but the bar kept us happy.
